i first went here two years ago and resent lot went back to try this place again! i got their signature and wagyu nigiri. the nigiri was just how you'd expect it to taste and was a great starter to the meal. for the ramen, i honestly think it has one of the most unique flavors out there, especially for a ramen. however, i do think it gets a bit heavy though, which made it a bit tough for me to finish. nonetheless, i was still very much satisfied with my meal and was happy to see that everything was the same as when i first visited :)

Best ramen in San Francisco period. They have really great vegan options here. The line can get long, but it moves pretty quickly. If you love garlic, definitely order the GKO. The broth was so rich and garlicy, and also a little spicy. They have really great toppings in there, and the noodles are perfect. Everything was so good, and I wish I was eating it right now. I also had the enoki chips, and they were really great as well. I ate some of them by itself, and I ate some of it with the ramen. It's really good with lemon as well. The service is great and efficient. The store is small, but they are able to seat a lot of people. The people working are very nice and genuine. The kind lady who took my order was very nice and patient with me. I really think this place has the best ramen in SF and I would like to go more often. I can't wait for the next time I go!

My favorite ramen in the bay!! This place really caught me off guard, I ordered the spicy tori paitan. The broth was insane!! So flavorful l, creamy and spicy. Every detail that went into the dish made sense and had purpose. They put this like crispy root and thinly sliced duck that is so delicious!!! I also tried some of their apps like the a5 and can confirm it is delicious!! The service is pretty quick, though you usually do have to wait in line a bit, but they filter people out pretty fast because of the time limit. I'll keep coming back, take all my money.

Delicious ramen. Actually the nicest broth I've had. Lots of flavor. The Garlic Knock Out was incredible. Lots of garlic. The service was friendly and efficient. Waiting in line on Saturday in Tenderloin ~45mins at 5pm. The inside was nice. TV playing a program made by founder going through the ramen process. Must try.

The vegan ramen I had was very tasty! However, definitely be prepared to wait 30-40 minutes for a table, especially on the weekends. The place was small, but the food was amazing. I'll definitely be back again!

Mensho serves up very unique ramens that don't disappoint! They have flavors of broth that you don't usually find at typical ramen restaurants, such as spicy lamb cumin and duck matcha. My group got the spicy lamb cumin and GKO. The food came out very fast, so service is pretty good. Both were very delicious and different from what ramen I usually have. I would return here if I'm ever in the area!

I've been meaning to go to Mensho ever since I moved to SF a few years ago, but somehow the line always deterred me. Got here on a Monday night at 6pm and we got seated immediately, but the line started to forms after. The restaurant is on the smaller side, so be prepared to wait a bit regardless of when you come. I got the garlic knockout ramen, which had a super rich, creamy, and spicy broth, with black garlic oil, chashu, and some bits and bobs. The broth was incredible! It was super rich tho, so I had trouble finishing the entire bowl. It was packed with flavor and very spicy, which I loved. We also got the corn ribs which were okay -- the corn was not tender or juicy, and we couldn't get much off the rib. My boyfriend got the lamb ramen that he also really liked. Overall, the food here is very good and adventurous, which is great for those of us who are tired of the shoyu and miso broths of the world. I also got a Japanese matcha cream soda that was delicious. I will say that the service here was remiss. Our server was friendly, but the hostess at the front kept coming by and rushing us along. She also made it super clear that we can only order in one go, and no more orders will be taken after our initial one. We were fine with this until she came back to ask if we were done 10 minutes into our meal. I'd say -- come here for the great ramen and don't expect to be coddled during your visit!

This place is the ramen place that everyone raves about in the city. So much so that people are waiting outside in line upwards of 2 hours! Well as a vegetarian I'm used to going to Marufuku, but this place has 3 different options so needed to give it a try. I got the spicy Vegan GKO cause come on, if you know me by now, I don't back away from spice! It's a garlic heavy ramen, and since I do like garlic a lot, thought it was the best combo to try first. The ramen is very thick and creamy, which makes it pretty filling. The flavors were nice, and the thick noodles were nice and chewy, al dente. They added a lot of toppings, including some corn with part of the cob on it which I guess made it more fresh? I love garlic, but this was actually a lot of garlic. I think this might be a hit or miss for certain people, as even for me I don't think I particularly for all the different garlic flavors I was getting. I think the ramen was solid and a good vegetarian option, but not the best I had, and felt heavier than what I usually like. I think it's a solid place to get vegetarian ramen and worth a try. But hopefully you go during off times when lines would be less, as we waited a little over 30 min on a Friday night around 9pm, same weekend as Outside lands.
